Sleepy Hollow ist ja eine alte amerikanische Sage. Der kopflose Reiter ist ein Hesse, um genau zu sein, ein Söldner in den Diensten Englands. Der Sage nach soll er nicht wegen dem Geld, sondern aus purer Lust am Töten gekämpft haben.

Everyone speaks a dialect, it's just not as obvious to themselves. Essex has a reputation of being very crude
